What to include in an error report

If a calculator result does not match an official source, including the following information helps us fix it quickly:

  • The name and URL of the calculator or page (e.g., germanycalculators.online/brutto-netto)
  • The exact values you entered
  • The result displayed on screen
  • The result you expected, and a link to the official source (e.g., Bundesagentur für Arbeit, BMF, Familienkasse)
  • Your browser and device type (optional, but helpful)

What we cannot help with

Germany Calculators is a reference tool, not a professional advisory service. We are not able to:

  • Provide personal tax, legal, or immigration advice
  • Review individual payslips, tax documents, or visa applications
  • Determine your specific eligibility for benefits or residence status

For questions involving your personal situation, please contact the relevant authority directly — your local Finanzamt, Familienkasse, Ausländerbehörde, or a qualified Steuerberater (tax advisor) or Rechtsanwalt (lawyer).
